What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Consultant - Part-time position at Good Company HR?
Good Company HR provides a full spectrum of human resources services to a wide range of clients primarily in Oregon and Washington. This is a hybrid position with some travel.
Reports to: Principal Consultant
Status: Part-time hourly, primarily remote with some on-site work required as needed
Schedule: 20 hours per week, variable schedule Monday through Friday
Benefits: Paid Time Off, no other benefits
Core Functions and Activities
- Manage complex leave programs documentation
- Reviewing and writing policies and procedures
- Understand payroll processes
- Manage documentation of client activities, personnel issues
- Assist with ADA accommodations
- Assist with performance review processes
- Coach managers and HR support on performance, discipline
- Maintain current knowledge, review and maintain compliance with employment laws, regulations, trends, best practices and software
- Respond to general human resource questions and needs
- Other projects, duties and activities will be assigned or updated as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong HR and customer service acumen, timely and helpful responses to requests

Education and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a human resources role with similar responsibilities and training
- Experience conducting investigations helpful
- Experience facilitating training helpful
- Experience with Office 365 suite
- Experience with Google Drive suite
- SHRM-CP and / or HRCI-PHR or higher certification preferred
- EEO or SHRM Workplace Investigation training and/or certification preferred
- Project Management Experience preferred
- High School Diploma
- Must have a dedicated home office space
This position is both on site at clients and remote, is primarily seated at a computer and talking on a phone. Physical environments differ based on the client and location.
