The Department of Goochland County Parks and Recreation is seeking part-time seasonal Summer Camp Assistant to assist the Recreation Coordinator, Summer Camp Lead, and implementation of Summer Camp 2025. Flexible schedules and hours are available, including mornings, days, evenings, Monday through Friday 3-4 days a week. This is a 15-20 hour week position with no benefits ending mid-August.
  • 16 or older
  • Provides assistance to Summer Camp Lead in program implementation. 
  • Helps assist, day to day activities.
  • Reports all issues to Summer Camp Lead.
  • Helps monitor child during program.
  • Assist in cleaning before, during, and after program.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; the ability to maintain effective working relationships and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Applicants should be comfortable working with the public.
