Responsibilities
- Participate in the collaborative leadership of the doctor and assistant teams
- Be goal-oriented, with attention to detail and initiative to work for the greater good of the team
- Perform general dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, crowns and anterior root canals (posterior is a bonus!)
- Conduct routine dental examinations and provide preventive care
- Develop treatment plans and confidently discuss them with patients
- Administer anesthetics to patients to minimize pain during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper dental care techniques

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate General Dentist at Gooch Family Dental in Birmingham, AL. The Associate General Dentist will be responsible for performing general dental procedures, diagnosing and treating patients, providing preventive care, and ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
- Experience in general dentistry, patient diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Strong skills in restorative and preventive dental procedures
- Knowledge of dental technologies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Dedication to providing high-quality patient care
- Active dental license in the state of Alabama
- Completion of a dental degree (DMD or DDS) from an accredited dental school
