Goo Goo Chocolate Co is not your average retail store, it is a tourist attraction, a legacy that has stood the test of time for over 100 years. Our Experience Class Instructors (GCI) are responsible for delivering the ultimate guest experience while participating in classes, tastings, and tours at Goo Goo Chocolate Co. and off-site events. The GCI will serve as an ambassador for the brand while providing an engaging and participatory experience and ensure guests leave with knowledge of Goo Goo Cluster history and the fundamentals of confectionary processes. All Class Instructors are responsible for leading classes in various subjects related to Goo Goo Cluster's chocolate making process and history. They must possess excellent public speaking skills and be able to engage with guests in a professional and informative manner. The instructor will also be responsible for ensuring that all food handling practices are in compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the Class Instructor must have a high level of patience and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to provide exceptional customer service to all guests and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
People: Guest Interaction and Customer Service
- Prep, organize and lead chocolate experience classes.
- Ensure group events run smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure guest interaction is a fun engaging sweet experience.
- Responsible for sharing guest feedback on experiences with upper management in a timely manner.
- Serve as a greeter and brand ambassador on the retail floor during downtime.
- Assist retail staff during peak time, this includes but not limited to assisting with Design your Own, checking out guests at the end of visits, assisting with opening and closing tasks, in addition to floor stocking and merchandising.
- Ensure communication with guests and visitors are inviting and aligned with Goo Goo Cluster Core Values.
- Attend all training, informative sessions, meetings aimed at improving and reinforcing knowledge and understanding of company operations.
- Assist with set up and cleanup of events and classes, this includes fulfilling products, rotation of product, box preparations and daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Assist management in the development of current and future Experiences programs.
- Communicate needs and goals for the Experience department to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized store.
- Ensure class floor plan set-ups are efficient to the size of each class.
- Assist with capping class participant’s Premium candy bars when there are at least 2 class instructors.
- Assist in resolving customer inquiries and solutions by communicating customer complaints to General Manager or MOD (Manager on Duty) in a timely manner.
- Must have or obtain Food Handlers Permit and TABC within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
