Duties
- Assist with manufacturing operations, including but not limited to: fixture building, saw operations, drilling and tapping, wiring, etc.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments accurately to support manufacturing processes
- Use forklifts and manual handling techniques safely to move raw materials, finished products, and supplies within the facility
- Conduct quality checks by interpreting technical drawings and measuring instruments to verify specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards in production at all times
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions for lean manufacturing practices
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of heavy materials
Requirements
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment (certification is a plus)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and measurements accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical assembly techniques
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks and heavy lifting as required by the role
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles or process improvement initiatives is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical information clearly
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team managing production or assembly tasks in a fast-paced setting
