We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in St. Louis. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial success of construction and project-based work by providing analytical, financial, and administrative support to Project Managers and leadership. This role is responsible for project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, contract administration, and billing support to ensure projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and profitably.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and stakeholders.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Support Project Managers with financial oversight across assigned projects from startup through closeout.
- Assist with the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts.
- Track project costs and revenue, analyze variances, and provide insight to support profitability and decision-making.
- Perform financial analysis related to project performance, trends, and risk.
- Set up and maintain projects in Deltek (Vision/Vantagepoint), including work breakdown structures (WBS), budgets, billing terms, revenue recognition setup, and contract details.
- Ensure project financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with internal policies and contract requirements.
- Support monthly revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion calculations.
- Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms and approved billing formats.
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Assist with contract reviews, modifications, notices, and correspondence as required.
- Work closely with Project Managers, finance teams, clients, and subcontractors to support project financial health.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and contractual requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in a financial analyst, project accountant, or similar role within a project-based environment.
- Experience supporting projects in construction, engineering, or infrastructure preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
- Familiarity with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition is a plus
