Job Summary:
As a Barista/Cashier/Bubble Tea Specialist, you will be the face of Gong Cha, greeting customers with warmth, taking and processing orders efficiently, and crafting our signature bubble tea beverages with skill and care. This role requires a blend of customer service excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for bubble tea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm welcome and engage with customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Accurately take and process orders, adhering to Gong Cha's high standards.
- Prepare signature bubble tea beverages with precision and care.
- Manage cash transactions with honesty and integrity.
- Follow strict hygiene and safety guidelines during ingredient preparation.
- Contribute to the store's opening and closing procedures diligently.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization.
- Work collaboratively with the team and respond to management requests promptly.
Requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a valid NYC food handler certificate.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to adhere to rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism professionally.
- Capable of productive and professional interactions with co-workers and customers.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift at least 50 pounds, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work 30-40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
