Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
- Serve food and beverages responsibly, including drink service with spirits and wine knowledge, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle diverse guest needs confidently
- Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages (spirits, wine, cocktails) and menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining high service standards
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage service including spirits knowledge, cocktail preparation, and wine expertise is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced hospitality setting
