Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and process payments accurately
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
- Uphold sanitation standards through proper food handling, cleaning protocols, and adherence to health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries gracefully
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus for understanding menu components
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and bill splitting purposes
- Experience with host/hostess duties or bussing is advantageous but not required
- Strong communication skills paired with a friendly attitude to foster guest satisfaction
