The Director of Service will lead day-to-day operations for the service department — driving growth, performance, and client satisfaction while managing a high-performing team of service managers, dispatchers, and technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the electrical service division across the Dallas-Fort Worth market, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service work.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand service offerings and grow customer accounts.
- Oversee service operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, field performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and key partners, driving repeat business and long-term loyalty.
- Partner with estimating and sales teams to develop proposals, bids, and service agreements that are competitive and profitable.
- Monitor project financials, labor utilization, and department KPIs to achieve revenue and margin goals.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop field and office staff to build a high-performance service culture.
- Collaborate with safety and training leadership to ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and internal standards.
- Represent the service division as part of the executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide goals and operational alignment.
- 10 years of electrical industry experience, with at least 5 years leading service or operations teams.
- Proven success overseeing a service department or small-project operations for an electrical or MEP contractor.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices in commercial and institutional environments.
- Business acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills — able to build trust with both clients and teams.
- Proficiency with service and project management tools (ServiceTrade, Procore, or similar).
- Current Texas Electrical License or ability to obtain preferred.
- Experience with tenant improvements, preventive maintenance, retrofits, and emergency response work.
- Existing relationships with commercial clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
- Demonstrated success scaling a service department or expanding into new vertical markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred).
