Senior Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout across healthcare, commercial, retail, institutional, entertainment, and mixed-use sectors.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and cost controls to ensure profitability.
- Coordinate all stakeholders (owners, GCs, architects/engineers, vendors, AHJs, internal teams) to drive project success.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor buyout, and long-lead equipment planning to support field execution.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and scope clarifications; negotiate pricing and approvals.
- Partner with field leadership to plan manpower, sequencing, productivity, and quality compliance with NEC/NFPA and specs.
- Enforce safety standards and lead risk identification/mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and support PM/PE teams, promoting best practices, accountability, and client satisfaction.
- 5 years of previous electrical project management and estimating experience.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated project delivery (IPD/Design-Build).
- Strong leadership and decision-making under schedule and budget pressure.
- High-level planning, organization, and multi-project prioritization.
