Electrical Superintendent Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of electricians, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and general contractors to resolve design and field issues.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide field installation.
- Manage daily job site operations, including labor tracking, material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Monitor and report project progress, productivity, and manpower needs.
- Assist in the development of construction schedules and provide input to planning and sequencing of work.
- Ensure accurate documentation of change orders, inspections, and punch lists.
- Minimum 7–10 years of electrical field experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or leadership role.
- Background in any of the following project types: healthcare, hospitals, higher education, government buildings, data centers, or large mixed-use developments.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage large crews.
