Goliath Construction Consulting is seeking an Electrical Estimator for a well-established electrical contractor in the Tampa, FL area. This position will focus primarily on commercial tenant improvements, buildouts, renovations, service work, and other small-to-midsize electrical projects ranging from approximately $7,500 to $1M.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates for commercial tenant improvement, buildout, renovation, and service projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and customer requests to determine project requirements.
- Perform material and labor takeoffs and obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare proposals, scope clarifications, exclusions, and pricing revisions.
- Manage multiple estimates and quick-turn opportunities at various stages simultaneously.
- Coordinate with customers, project managers, vendors, and field personnel throughout the estimating and project turnover process.
Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial electrical estimating experience preferred.
- Experience with tenant improvements, buildouts, renovations, service work, or small projects strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, labor requirements, and construction practices.
- Ability to effectively estimate projects ranging from small service work to approximately $1M.
- Electrical estimating software experience; Accubid experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
