Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end estimating process for large-scale electrical projects—from bid analysis through final proposal.
- Evaluate drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop accurate, comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams to ensure alignment between estimates and execution strategies.
- Mentor and coach estimators to enhance technical knowledge, confidence, and accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships for competitive pricing and market intelligence.
- Partner with leadership to determine strategic pursuits and maintain a competitive market position.
- 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven background in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA standards.
- Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, Procore, or BIM 360.
- Ability to interpret one-lines, riser diagrams, and coordination studies with exceptional attention to detail.
- Natural leadership and communication skills that promote collaboration and accountability.
