Golf Course Mechanic

Position is located at Lake Bluff Golf Club in Lake Bluff, IL.

The responsibility of the Golf Course Mechanic is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing conditions of the golf course. The Mechanic will perform major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment under the direction of the Superintendent.

· Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented

· Ability to repair mowers, adjust heights of cut, etc.

· Maintain equipment repair logs

· Conduct an effective preventative maintenance program on all equipment

· Perform major and minor mechanical repairs on all golf course equipment

· Assist in providing a safe work culture and manage staff when called upon

Requirements

· 1-3 years Golf Course Mechanic experience

· Knowledge of small engine repair

· Experience in golf course equipment repair is preferred

· Valid driver’s license preferred

· Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

· Ability to inspect equipment and related component

· Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions

· Ability to work assigned shifts

Compensation: $18 to $24 per hour on a part-time basis or a salaried role based on experience with a range of $48,000 to $60,000.
