POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a part-time detail-oriented and experienced Inventory associate to serve as the go-to resource for daily inventory operations. In this role, you will help team members, uphold accuracy standards, drive process consistency, and escalate issues to management as needed. You will be expected to actively track performance against your key KPIs, drive toward measurable results, and work with management to gain visibility into the data you need to do it. This is an opportunity to eventually take ownership of our inventory control function and make a direct, visible impact on operational performance, order accuracy, and overall supply chain health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inventory Operations: Oversee day-to-day inventory activities including receiving, stocking, transferring, cycle counting, and discrepancy reporting. Hold yourself and team members accountable to established performance standards.
- Team Guidance: Support and guide fellow inventory team members, share best practices, and help onboard new staff. Foster a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities within receiving and inventory functions to management — focused on improving accuracy, reducing handling time, and eliminating bottlenecks specific to inbound flow and stock management.
- Quality Assurance: Lead investigation of Block List and Hold List occurrences. Partner with warehouse personnel and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Inventory Accuracy: Execute and maintain rigorous digital and physical count procedures to achieve and sustain best-in-class inventory accuracy rates.
- Discrepancy Management: Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances, implement corrective action steps, and escalate findings to management with clear, data-driven documentation.
- Returns & Disposition: Oversee returned merchandise inspection, processing, and final disposition in compliance with company policy, minimizing financial impact.
- Transaction Integrity: Ensure accurate and timely processing of all receiving transactions, maintaining full audit-readiness at all times.
- Systems & Data Management: Maintain integrity of inventory records across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring real-time accuracy of inbound and outbound product data.
- Shipping & Receiving: Supervise safe unloading and receiving of all inbound shipments, enforcing verification procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- AI & Productivity Tools: Leverage AI and available technology tools to improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of inventory operations. Actively seek out ways to apply these tools to reduce manual effort and drive better results.
