Position Summary
As an Assistant Golf Professional at the Old Course, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the day-to-day success of the Outside Services team. Working closely with the Golf Professional Staff, you will uphold our five-star standards and contribute to a seamless, first-class member experience.
Experience & Qualifications
- PGA Member or Associate (Level 1 or higher) in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Prior experience at a private club preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise over 20 Outside Services professionals, promoting a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and accountability
- Oversee all aspects of bag drop, cart staging, and practice facility operations
- Maintain high standards for the golf cart fleet, including cleanliness, stocking, rotation, and basic maintenance coordination
- Implement structured onboarding and ongoing training programs for Outside Services staff
- Assist with starter duties, pace-of-play oversight, tournament operations, and daily golf activities
- Actively connect with members and guests to foster a welcoming, personalized experience
- Promote club programs, events, and instructional offerings while building meaningful member relationships
- Ensure all service areas—bag room, cart barn, valet lanes, practice areas—are kept to the highest standard
- Support and enforce club policies and etiquette with a member-first attitude
- Utilize club technology (ForeTees, Golf Genius, Club Essentials, GHIN, etc.) for tee times, communication, and event management
