We’re currently seeking a Lead Blown Insulation Technician to join our growing team at Goley Insulation in Dupo, IL. This is an opportunity to lead a crew, showcase your expertise, and work on projects that make a lasting impact—all while earning competitive pay and excellent union benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Install blown insulation in attics, walls, ceilings, and other residential and commercial spaces.
• Lead, mentor, and direct crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan and manage daily tasks.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, following all OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members to ensure clear communication and timely project completion.

Working Conditions

• Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments.
• Perform tasks at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment.
• Navigate tight or confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, or mechanical rooms.
• Lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in blown insulation installation or similar insulation applications.
• Proven leadership ability in a construction or technical role.
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Preferred:

• Experience with multiple insulation types and related equipment.
• Familiarity with commercial and residential construction practices.
• Prior supervisory or lead role experience in insulation or construction.
