What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security Officer position at Golem Security Services LLC?
ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS — LEXINGTON, KY
Golem Security Services is not looking for someone to simply stand a post. We are looking for people who want to become security professionals.
GSS is expanding in the Lexington, Kentucky area, and we are looking for motivated individuals interested in joining a company that takes training, professionalism, and advancement seriously.
WHAT MAKES GOLEM DIFFERENT?
Training comes first.
Our armed personnel complete an intensive 120-hour training program designed to prepare them for situations they may actually encounter in the field. Training goes well beyond the minimum required to work security. It includes legal authority, report writing, de-escalation, emergency medical response, defensive tactics, firearms, less-lethal options, threat identification, active-shooter response, tactical decision-making, and scenario-based training.
We don't believe handing someone a uniform and assigning them a post makes them a security professional. We build security professionals.
You won't necessarily work the same type of post every day.
GSS personnel may have opportunities to work across a variety of assignments, including commercial properties, industrial sites, special events, private clients, patrol operations, houses of worship, and other specialized assignments. This gives our officers the opportunity to develop experience across multiple areas of the security industry.
We work in the film industry.
GSS provides security for film and production projects, creating opportunities for qualified personnel to work on movie and production sets. These assignments can be very different from traditional security work and give our team exposure to another side of the industry.
Training doesn't stop after you graduate.
We believe skills deteriorate when they aren't used. Continued and advanced training opportunities are available to personnel who want to improve their capabilities and take on greater responsibilities.
There is room to advance.
GSS has an established rank structure and opportunities for personnel to move from Guard into positions such as Specialist, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, and eventually leadership roles. We want people who are interested in building a career with the company, not simply filling an open shift.
WE ARE NOT AN "OBSERVE AND REPORT" COMPANY
One of the biggest differences between Golem and traditional security companies is our philosophy.
Many security companies train their guards primarily to observe a problem, document it, and call someone else to handle it.
That isn't enough for us.
Within the law, our policies, and an officer's training, GSS personnel are expected to actively work to prevent problems, de-escalate situations, protect people and property, and respond appropriately when an incident occurs.
That requires better training, better judgment, greater accountability, and people who take the profession seriously.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for people who are dependable, physically capable, willing to train, able to communicate professionally, and comfortable being held to a higher standard.
You don't need to know everything when you walk through our doors.
You do need to be willing to learn.
If you want a job where you put on a uniform and collect a paycheck, Golem may not be the right company for you.
If you want to train hard, work different assignments, develop real-world skills, earn greater responsibility, and build a career in professional security, we want to talk to you.
