SUMMARY:
The Human Resources/Business Office Manager oversees the facility's human resources functions while supporting daily accounting operations. This position ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies related to human resources, payroll, accounts receivable, and financial processes under the direction of the Administrator and, as applicable, the Director of Finance or Accountant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human Resources/Business Office Manager oversees the facility's human resources functions while supporting daily accounting operations. This position ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies related to human resources, payroll, accounts receivable, and financial processes under the direction of the Administrator and, as applicable, the Director of Finance or Accountant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily human resources operations, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and personnel records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, facility policies, and hiring/termination procedures.
- Conduct background checks and employee orientation.
- Provide employee counseling and disciplinary support as needed.
- Assist with workforce planning and standardization of HR processes.
- Process and route invoices for approval and resolve vendor billing issues.
- Maintain resident financial records and monitor accounts receivable.
- Assist with account reconciliation and monthly financial reporting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration preferred but not required.
- Must have, as a minimum 2 years' experience in HR Administration.
- Must have, as a minimum of 1 year experience with Financial Coordination
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in nursing care facilities.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
