We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Goldwater Care Marseilles. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our residents and facilities.
About the Role:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, adhering to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. Your duties will include:
Ensuring that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
Reporting all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, no matter how minor they may be
Coordinating daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas
Cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and/or polishing fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures, etc.
Cleaning floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.
Discarding waste/trash into proper containers and relining trash receptacles with plastic liners
Agreeing not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly reporting suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator
Following established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies
Following proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning
