Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional to join our team at our on-site location in Denver, CO. In this role, you will provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing individualized support plans, assisting with daily living activities, teaching life skills, promoting independence, and fostering positive social interactions. You will also collaborate with team members and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in Human Services and supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively convey information.
- Ability to provide Training and guidance in life skills, daily living activities, and therapeutic strategies.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental differences.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or education in a related field are a plus.
- Experience working with diverse communities and understanding of inclusion practices is highly regarded.
