What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Goldridge Capital Management?
Goldridge Capital Management, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team to participate in maintaining our commercial properties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Some of the duties include:
- Performing minor, routine maintenance or directing outside contractors regarding necessary repairs
- Participating in construction projects and tenant buildouts.
- Conducting regular safety inspections of the properties, correcting any unsafe practice or situation, particularly in snow and/or ice conditions.
- Responding to trouble/complaint maintenance requests throughout the properties when directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Operating and maintaining shop and other power equipment.
- Ensuring all work orders and maintenance programs are completed on time.
- Ordering parts and supplies as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining the grounds around the properties, including lawn care, general landscaping, and snow removal.
- Maintaining appropriate records and documentation according to state and federal laws and company policy and procedure. Observation and promotion of all safety rules and policies.
- Developing and maintaining a good relationship with contractors and vendors for property repairs, supplies, and maintenance.
- Good human relation skills demonstrating the ability to deal with tenants, other employees, and supervisors.
- Ability to travel to various properties in and around the Eau Claire area. Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push or pull 100 lbs. and lift and/or carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel and be low to the ground when necessary, sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and read.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
