Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Global Markets structured trading team in New York is looking for an experienced Vice President to join the team. Working within the firm’s sales and trading division, the group focuses on development of new client solutions and facilitates bespoke client transactions by leveraging our institutional capabilities, and making connections across various products, asset classes, and client segments as well as developing new financial products and identifying market opportunities and leads. The work involves opportunities to engage with clients and developing a thorough understanding of the full range of investment products and strategies offered by the firm and the creation of infrastructure to make those products reusable and scalable across our businesses, with broad exposure to the firm’s global client base. Clients include hedge funds, asset managers, pensions, endowments and foundations, PE Funds, VCs, corporates, and individuals and family offices.
In particular, we are looking for a vice president to:
- Manage bespoke & complex transaction execution, including leading trade structuring, trade negotiation and coordination
- Collaborate with, and build strong partnerships, across sales, trading and our clients franchise to identify potential transactions
- Coordinate due diligence workstreams, including interactions across internal GS teams, external counsel, and other third parties, to ensure transaction approval and support
- Prepare marketing materials and present various structures to internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of trades and control processes for timely identification and escalation post-execution
- Contribute to product development and improving scalability of bespoke offerings
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in financial services in structuring (including consulting firms);
- Client service orientation with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple requests and inquiries;
- Strong client communication and investor marketing skills;
- Experience in preparing external and internal written and oral presentations;
- Resourcefulness and creativity in addressing new commercial opportunities;
- Understanding of competitive landscape, legal and regulatory implications of the products

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
