Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product and inventory using various equipment like forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Move product and inventory following FIFO inventory control system.
- Perform manual lifting, packaging, taping, and labeling operations.
- Complete appropriate shipping or movement documentation.
- Load and unload trucks and tanks.
- Accountable for accurate inventory counts.
- Properly inspect and verify paperwork, seals, and samples.
- Record data such as product, lot numbers, and quantities.
- Coordinate trash and recyclable removal.
- Proactively recognize and report safety issues.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years experience driving various types of powered industrial trucks in manufacturing environment required.

- Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
