Pay: $22.00 per hour
Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing and coordinating staff schedules. It ensures that staffing needs are met promptly and efficiently, particularly during evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position serves as the primary point of contact for scheduling adjustments, last-minute changes, and emergency staffing situations. This position will work as a DSP in a home or taking people served on appointments when no other coverage can be found.
Schedule: This position will be assigned a set schedule, working out of one of the CILA or Group homes as an extra so they can complete scheduler duties while being available to assist as a DSP. This may also mean they are covering holes as a DSP during their scheduler shifts. The specific schedule of work locations and assignments will be set for the position by the Vice President of Community Living. This position must work a minimum of 40 hours per week. The scheduler will work holidays if their assigned scheduled workdays land on a holiday.
Job Duties:
- Managing, updating, and maintaining daily schedules of all sites. Including taking calls in communications from staff and working to fill vacancies in the staffing schedules.
- Oversee self-scheduling meeting and distribution of self-scheduling DSP work hours.
- Managing payroll related tasks for Direct Support Professionals including submission of absence slips, attendance tracking, and bi-weekly review and approval of staff timesheets.
- Completing ROCs billing each month.
- To ensure agency policies and procedures are followed by all staff. Reporting and documenting deficiencies immediately as outlined in agency policy.
- The position involves supporting people served in the home and in the community and involves frequent driving.
- The position involves implementing specific, approved physical restraint, and blocking procedures to address certain behavioral situations.
- To fill-in as a DSP as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Must have reliable and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to complete data entry using a laptop, computer or tablet.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Be able to transfer between homes before or during shifts as required by scheduling needs. This includes providing your own transportation.
- Must be a GF approved driver for all programs and must maintain GF driving privileges.
- Must be able to be approved to administer medications by Goldie Floberg RN Nurse Trainers across all sites and programs.
