Role Description Summary: The Sourcing Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Hickory, NC, responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities to support Goldhofer Inc.’s operational and strategic goals of their greenfield assembly facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing overall sourcing strategy, identifying and qualifying suppliers, leading competitive bidding processes, and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms, quality, and delivery performance. The Sourcing Lead will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to forecast demand, ramp up production, optimize inventory, and align sourcing strategies with business priorities. This role also involves building and maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving issues related to cost, quality, and timelines. In addition, the Sourcing Lead will support continuous improvement in sourcing processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance, cost structures, market trends, and sourcing options.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation to secure favorable commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation.
- Hands-on procurement expertise, including purchase order management, supplier selection, and category sourcing.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Hickory, NC, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with ERP (SAP) and strong skills in MS Excel and other data analysis tools.
