Job Description:
Goldfinch Gourmet Foods is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef to prepare food, ensure kitchen efficiency, assist in managing kitchen staff, and maintain high-quality standards.
Duties
- Assist with food production
- Assist in managing inventory control and ordering supplies
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
Experience
- 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food management and food service operations
- Proficiency in inventory control and shift management.
- Excellent team management skills.
- Culinary degree preferred
- Understanding of French Cuisine preferred
- Team Player
- ServSafe Certified
