Job Description
Hours: Full-time, Thursday – Monday, 8am - 4pm (flexible weekend scheduling)
Pay: $15/hr pooled tips (~20%)
Goldenrod Kitchen is looking for a dependable, team-oriented BOH Team Member who thrives in a versatile, open-kitchen environment. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for food service, an interest in cafe culture, and a willingness to take on a versatile, hands-on workload.
In our open kitchen environment, our team is all hands on deck, participating in multiple capacities to ensure a seamless guest experience. Primary responsibilities include working the cook line, supporting dish flow, and completing after-hours food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute cook line duties with consistency and attention to detail
- Manage dish flow for efficient kitchen operation
- Complete daily and after-hours food prep
- Perform closing tasks, including cleaning and kitchen reset
- Collaborate with team and management to support overall cafe operations
- Potential to grow into a supervisory position
Minimum Requirements:
- Availability for at least one weekend day
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, crouch, and bend
- Willingness to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 2 weeks of hire
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Prior kitchen experience preferred, but not required
- Fluent in English
