Life Enrichment Specialist – $20/hr

Location: Lexington
Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (potential to grow to 40 hours; some Saturdays possible)

The team is looking for a dependable Life Enrichment Specialist to support a 76-year-old woman with complex medical needs who desires consistent, compassionate care and strong communication.
About The Role
The Life Enrichment Specialist will support a client with multiple cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological conditions who experiences chronic pain, decreased mobility, neuropathy, edema, vision challenges, and sleep issues. The home is clean, smoke-free, and pet-free, and the client prefers a caregiver who takes initiative, sees what needs to be done, and follows through without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with safe mobility and transfers within the home as tolerated and directed
Support with daily living tasks such as light personal care, comfort positioning, and monitoring for safety
Help with household chores including light cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a calm, safe environment
Offer companionship, social interaction, and emotional support to help combat depression and isolation
Communicate clearly and reliably with both the participant and office staff, providing updates and reporting any changes in condition
Enter the building using the call button system and respect apartment community rules and privacy
Participant profile and preferences
Participant with an extensive medical history
Lives alone in a clean, non-smoking home with no animals
Values a Caregiver Who
Takes initiative and does not wait to be told what to do
Communicates clearly, shows up consistently, and follows through
Respects her schedule, including Wednesdays off to rest and recuperate from care in the home
Open to the right caregiver growing hours over time; with a strong fit, this role could expand into a 40-hour-per-week position
Qualifications

Experience or comfort working with individuals who have complex medical conditions and chronic pain
Strong communication skills and commitment to consistent updates and reliability

Previous Caregiving, Home Care, Or Life Enrichment Experience Preferred
Valid driver’s license and car insurance
Ability to pass extensive background check (this includes the child abuse registry and sex offender registry)
