Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or supporting them as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer basic first aid when required and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to supervisors.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring reliable transportation.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs.
Skills
- Experience in personal care home settings or home care environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial for providing immediate assistance when necessary.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while maintaining their dignity.
