Join our dedicated team as a Weekend Caregiver position is for (SUNDAYS & PRN from 7am-7pm) taking care of 5 residents and
DHS Background check required for employment, as well as pre services dementia, lgbt2qia training, and HCBS, CPR.
Duties
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- *****Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer aids to safely move residents with mobility challenges******
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s by engaging them in meaningful activities and ensuring their safety
Experience
- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential
- Hands-on experience with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is required
- Experience operating mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other transfer devices is advantageous
- Prior caregiving roles involving long-term care or hospice support will be considered a strong asset
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like group home experience or nursing assistant credentials are a plus
