Client Home & Care Profile

The client lives with her husband in a cluttered home with one dog and one cat. Smoking and vaping occur in the home, so the caregiver must be comfortable working in a smoke-exposed environment and around pets.

Heavy smoking in the home; husband smokes and client vapes.

One dog and one cat live in the home.

The dog sheds heavily, and there is significant pet hair throughout the house.

Home is cluttered.

No known infestations.

Husband also resides in the home.

Client is mobile but has difficulty waking at times.

She may need some assistance walking around the home.

Fall risk is a concern, so the caregiver should provide supervision and mobility support as needed.

Light housekeeping, particularly managing clutter and pet hair as appropriate.

Meal-preparation support, such as opening containers, gathering items, and helping in the kitchen.

Client prefers to do her own cooking when possible; caregiver should offer assistance while encouraging her independence.

May need occasional errands or trips outside the home.

Friendly, patient, and experienced in caregiving.

Comfortable assisting a mobile client with fall-risk precautions.

Must be comfortable around heavy smoke exposure, vaping, dogs, cats, and pet hair.

Should genuinely like animals and be willing to work in a cluttered home environment

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Comfortable working in a smoking household

Strong work ethic; able to stay on task without constant direction

Patient and respectful demeanor
