Golden Vertex Corp is a mining company based in Bullhead City, AZ. The Moss Mine Complex is a pressure metal, open pit surface mine specializing in gold/silver extraction. Golden Vertex was recently acquired by new ownership (Mako Mining Corp) and is under new management. The Company operates the Moss Mine located in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, approximately a one hour and a half drive south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Golden Vertex Corp is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Mine Geologist for our Moss Mine project.

Job Overview
Support the daily functions of the mine geology team by assisting with ore control, pit mapping, geological modeling, and sample collection. Responsibilities include ensuring proper sample handling and control, organizing laboratory submissions, aiding in the identification and marking of mineralized zones, and contributing to routine mine operations and other geological tasks as directed.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes mining software to make ore control determinations.
• Maintain quality, analytical, and dilution controls for gold and silver tonnages and grades within a minimum margin to optimize production operations.
• Manage databases with information on geological and structural maps.
• Generates geologic and structural maps for use in production modelling.
• Quality Assurance / Quality Control (Practices and procedures)
• Field support for marking ore bodies.
• Responsible for mapping and monitoring high walls to ensure pit stability.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of work areas.
• Monitor the delivery of samples from the laboratory.
• Maintain direct communication with laboratory supervisors
• Supervise drilling equipment.
• Personnel management and coordination.
• Mine operation supervision
• Production and ore grade calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Geology / Mining Engineer/ Geosciences/ Related Degrees
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Minesight 3D, Autocad 2D - 3D, Handling of topographic, Handling of GPS, Mineral exploration, mining geology, mineral control (ore control), data analysis, handling of office excel, word, Power point.
• Availability, teamwork, proactive, responsible, effective communication, organization, writing, Responsible, Personnel Management, Leader, Ethics.
• Minimum two years of experience in geology or related sciences field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
