What are the responsibilities and job description for the Centralized Scheduler position at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital?
Job Description :
This position is responsible for scheduling all medical services per GVMH guidelines. This position works with a team of schedulers to ensure all GVMH patients are scheduled timely and accurately. This position will report to the Director of Scheduling & Referral Coordination.
Education / Credentials :
High school diploma
Medical terminology course (within 30 days of hire, provided in-house)
Experience :
Effective oral and written communication skills is essential.
Ability to work efficiently, with the majority of daily work being done over the phone while navigating the electronic medical record.
Ability to communicate with patients, providers, other departments, and external customers such as referring healthcare providers and facilities.
Able to read, understand, and communicate medical terminology.
Starting Range : $16.59-$18.25
