What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook Hostess position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
This position is responsible for assembling and passing meal trays and snack to patients, guests and employees. This position functions as part of a team that ensures safe delivery of food to patients within 45 minutes of the order being placed. This position quality checks all hot & cold foods to ensure they are correct as ordered, rotating into a one-person line, working both sides as necessary during slack times and performing all necessary prep work. Picks up patient meal trays/food trays and scraps return trays during clean-up. Is responsible to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment. Responsible to inventory and replace patient unit food and supply stock to maintain sufficient stock for patients per protocol. Assists in our Café with retail merchandising, up-selling, proper sanitation, and other duties as necessary to provide quality food and quality service at a “10” level. This position works the lunch and supper meal period. Attends staff huddles and tastings held daily.
