Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
- Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior
- Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
- Observe and record children's growth, development and behaviour using electronic portfolios
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
- Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers
- Undertake administrative tasks as required
You will need:
- To start and complete DCF 45 hour Training.
- Experience working in a childcare setting
- Fantastic organisational, leadership and teamwork skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- A good level of computer literacy
- Level II Background Check
- Willingness to achieve a good understanding of the Florida Early Standards

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
- Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.

Competitive compensation $13 - $15 commensurate with education and experience. Benefits available.
