Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly fit sessions and assist in evaluating garment prototypes
- Measure samples prior to fittings and take detailed notes during the fit process
- Complete and distribute accurate fit reports post-fitting sessions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design intent into production-ready garments, balancing aesthetic and technical requirements
- Recommend appropriate adjustments to specifications, patterns, and construction methods to enhance garment fit, balance, and overall quality
- Maintain fit consistency across the Juniors category by applying standard grade rules aligned with customer or in-house guidelines
- Ensure adherence to the Product Lifecycle Calendar, particularly with timely Garment Fit Approvals
- Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendor partners to resolve fit and quality concerns and meet production timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in technical design or apparel product development preferred
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit standards, and grading
- Proficient in measurement techniques and interpreting technical specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
