Part-Time Companion Caregiver – Long-Term Position
I am looking for a reliable, caring, and dependable person to provide part-time companion care for an older adult in the North Boulder area.
Current Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
Approximately 16 hours per week.
I am looking for someone who is genuinely interested in keeping these hours long-term. There may also be opportunities for additional caregiver/companion hours in the future.
This is a non-medical caregiving/companion position for an older adult experiencing significant short-term memory loss. Responsibilities may include helping maintain a consistent daily routine, meal preparation and light household tasks, occasional transportation, walks, and companionship. If you love playing cards and enjoy watching birds and squirrels, you will enjoy this position!
The ideal person is:
- Kind, patient, and naturally comfortable working with older adults
- Reliable and consistent
- Calm, patient, and comfortable with the repetitive nature of working with someone experiencing significant short-term memory loss
- Able to take initiative while respecting the client’s routine and independence
Caregiving experience is necessary, but I am especially interested in finding the right personality and fit. Experience working with older adults with memory loss, caring for an older family member, or supporting someone with a developmental disability is a plus.
This position would be through my local companion care LLC. A background check and clean driving record will be required.
