Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Buena Park, CA, for a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic. The Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and other vehicles used in asphalt paving and concrete construction. Other duties include troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently, and maintaining accurate service records. Collaboration with the operations team will also be integral to ensuring project deadlines are met safely and precisely.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance, including routine servicing and adherence to safety standards
• Capabilities in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment management, with particular experience working on diesel engines and machinery
• Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical and technical issues effectively
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with relevant regulations
• Preferably have had previous experience in a similar role in construction or related industries
• Preferably has certification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent technical training
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Hourly Range

$25-$40 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.
