We are looking for a full-time Load Builder.  

We focus on selling quality lumber and building materials. We are looking for a candidate, who is friendly, possesses a positive personality and who enjoys working in a team atmosphere. This is a very high energy, fast-paced environment. 
 
Responsibilities/Job Description:

• Skilled knowledge of building materials to effectively construct loads for customer and/or construction site deliveries
• Build safe and efficient loads of building materials by correctly reading “picking tickets” and invoices
• Understand weight limits and length limits for company’s fleet of trucks as to safely and lawfully load trucks
• Load and off-load company trucks with building materials both by hand and with a forklift
• Ensure that appropriate paper work is completed as per company policy
• Receive delivered inventory by properly inspecting paperwork for accuracy and by depositing inventory in designated locations
• Maintain yard cleanliness during course of work
• Check all paperwork for accuracy
• Assist Inventory Specialist in maintaining an appropriate level of inventory
• Perform daily safety audit of forklift and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment
• Assist with maintaining yard cleanliness

Skills Required:

• Must have two years forklift experience
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds
• Lumber Experience a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player with a willingness to assist in other departments as needed
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Completion of a background check that is satisfactory to the employer

Medical and Dental are effective the first of the month following your date of hire.  Your cost for medical and dental benefits are based on the type of coverage you have as well as your payment tier.  Golden State will cover the full cost for the first month of your medical and dental benefits.  After the first month, your medical and dental premium contributions will be deducted out of your paycheck.
