Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman/Technician to join our new and growing Handyman/Remodel company. In this role, You will need expertise in all aspects of the construction trade. This includes Drywall, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, framing, flooring, door installallation, and all remodel aspects. You will need to have experience with working alone, or in a team setting. You will also be resposible for sending out invoices one jobs are completed. Employee will provide own tools, 4wd truck or SUV, and will need to be comfortable driving in the snow. Our company has work year around in the Truckee/ Lake Tahoe and Sacramento areas. We are looking for someone who wants to join a growing company with plenty or growth potential.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct repairs involving carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general facility upkeep.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Operate tools such as hand tools, drills, saws, and general construction tools
- Capable or working alone with strict time limits, or in a team on large remodel projects
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or client concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with hands-on skills in mechanical repair, electrical systems, or manufacturing environments.
- General knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), welding techniques, and troubleshooting with ohmmeters.
- Ability to read job descriptions and work orders
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in residential painting or general construction work, drywall work to inlcude patches
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities that enable guiding junior staff or managing small projects confidently.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, or in confined spaces safely. Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in Remodels! Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
