Business Development Inside Sales Representative
Location: Cerritos HQ Office
Compensation: Base Salary Commission Bonuses
About the Role
The Business Development Inside Sales Representative fuels top-line growth by identifying new opportunities, qualifying leads, and strengthening vendor and in-house client relationships. This role combines energetic cold calling, strategic follow-up, and high-level customer support. Balancing the dual responsibilities of a hunter, driving outbound prospecting and new lead engagement, and a sales rep, managing and developing existing accounts, this role plays a central role in our overall sales success.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Conduct cold calls, outbound outreach, and follow-up campaigns to vendor leads, inbound inquiries, and dormant accounts.
- Qualify new prospects by identifying needs, budgets, timelines, and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with sales management to identify strategic growth opportunities within assigned territories or verticals.
- Provide additional business development support, as needed.
Inside Sales & Customer Support
- Create and deliver customer quotes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process customer purchase orders, ensuring pricing, terms, and delivery expectations are correct.
- Manage the quote log, open orders, and backlog reports through internal systems or customer portals.
- Track, review, and follow up on open opportunities, quotes, and pending order activities.
- Provide additional sales support, as needed.
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries.
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions that ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure on-time delivery and order accuracy by coordinating with purchasing, logistics, vendors, and suppliers.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, customer service, or a related role.
- Proven success with cold calling, outbound outreach, or lead management preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRMs, ERP systems, or customer portals is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and customer-service orientation.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to shift priorities with ease.
