Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cook / Van Driver. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes, dietary guidelines, and safety protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, braising pots, poaching devices, and food prep tools with precision and care
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures meet strict food safety standards to prevent contamination
- Safely load, unload, and deliver students using the van/bus while maintaining vehicle safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of food production, delivery logs, and sanitation procedures
- Support dietary department needs by assisting with food production tasks like braising, grilling, or food service as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food service environment; experience in high-volume production is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including braising, poaching, grilling, and recipe adherence
- Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with food handling safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating delivery vehicles or vans preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
