Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of various animals, ensuring they receive the attention and treatment they need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
All employees work split shifts 6-10 am and 3-6 pm five days on, two days off. All employees work scheduled holidays.
Candidates should be high school graduates or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising.
- Administer medications
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in animal housing areas.
- Implement proper animal restraint techniques during handling.
- Ensure all animals are treated with kindness and respect at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in an animal care environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in dog handling and general animal care are essential.
- Familiarity with medication administration and animal restraint techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and basic animal handling practices will be beneficial.
