Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

Job Summary

Golden Path PCA, LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team. As a PCA, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals in home and community settings. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, medication support, mobility assistance, and companionship all while promoting independence, dignity, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment.
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in health status, and daily care activities.
• Administer medications according to care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Support mobility and transfers, including safe use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding based on dietary needs.
• Follow safety rules and infection control procedures at all times.
• Engage clients in activities that support social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and well-being.
• Collaborate with supervisors and healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s License (Required) – reliable transportation may be necessary for some clients.
• Must obtain PSS Certificate within 9 months of hire (must begin class within 2 months).
• CNA certification or previous caregiving experience preferred (home care, long-term care, group homes, or memory care).
• 1 year of client care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong attention to detail

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
