Host - Cashier
A Host - Cashier is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests’ first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
Responsibilities:
A Host - Cashier is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests’ first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a genuine smile and positive attitude
- Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests
- Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary
- Guide guests to their tables and present them with menus
- Take to-go orders over the phone and in person
- Provide highchairs and other requested items to the guest
- Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements
- Responsible for point of sale register and accepting credit cards, cash, comps or other proper forms of payment for food and beverage orders
- 1 year of restaurant experience preferred
- Organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask
- Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
- Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations
