The Front Desk supervisor is responsible for welcoming guests to the property and providing memorable service, and to oversee daily Front Office and Hotel operations to ensure guests receive a standard of superior service at the Golden Nugget.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of a Guest Service Representative, VIP Reservationist, and PABX Attendant as well as knowledgeable of key control as needed
- Assist in progressive training and discipline of all Guest Services staff
- Interact effectively with all other departments, especially regarding accounting procedures
- Receive guest complaints and ensure that they are satisfied and/or compensated; follow up with proper departments/employees involved
- Attend any specialized or cross training deemed necessary by upper management
- Assist Hotel Manager in writing/implementing new policies and procedures
- Oversee daily occupancy levels to ensure the highest yield from rooms available
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested
- Inspect and monitor Hotel, including lobby, hotel rooms, and public areas
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- 2 years supervisory skills required
- Minimum age requirement is 21
- Exceptional customer relations skills, detail oriented, leadership, time management and organizational skills a must
- Minimum 2 years hotel experience required
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required (Outlook/Excel/Word)
- Knowledge of Hotel Systems such as LMS
