Cook III

It is the responsibility of the Cook to prepare all food items according to menu, recipes, plate specifications, and guest requests. It is also the responsibility of this role to assure food preparation and service is of the highest quality and according to specified prep times.

Responsibilities

• Begin development of daily specials.
• Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive professional image.
• Produce a daily prep list. Prepare written daily orders.
• Ability to organize and delegate work assignments/tasks.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all outlets food.
• Adheres to control procedure for food costs and quality.
• To encourage and abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines.
• Ability to read and gather all necessary items for recipe execution.
• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
• Be able to create compound sauces and derivatives of the mother sauces including the knowledge of Beurre Blancs.
• Prepare written food requisition for supplies and food items for production in the work station
  
  

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience in food preparation and food knowledge.
• Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must Successfully Complete Serv-Safe Training Class and Obtain a Certificate Requires reading and math skill for recipes and measurements.
• Available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
• Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
• Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
