Surveillance Technician

Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the surveillance system and related equipment and the installation of any additions or changes to the system. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that all cameras and other surveillance equipment outside of the surveillance room are working properly.
• Make adjustments to cameras as needed, with regards to angles, lenses, mounts, wiring and housings.
• Ensure that all surveillance equipment located within the surveillance room is working properly.
• Clean and maintain all surveillance equipment as needed.
• Perform repairs and adjustments to all surveillance equipment.
• Install new surveillance equipment as needed, using conduit, cable and video equipment; this is done adhering to all state and federal rules, regulations and laws.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Maintain confidentiality within the set guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent and articulate in English.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Knowledge of video repair and maintenance techniques.
• Good dexterity is needed for installation and adjustment of cameras and use of hand tools. These skills are typically acquired through a minimum of three years surveillance technician experience or related field.
• Knowledge of gaming minimum internal casino standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws and Nevada Revised Statues.
• Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

1 year experience in the casino surveillance field.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.
  
  

Work Environment

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
