Seamster/Seamstress
As a Seamster/Seamstress you will handle a range of tasks related to garment alterations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Handles all sewing and material alterations for the hotel/casino.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Full understanding of mending and construction techniques.
- Computer skills helpful.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and stressful environment
- Seamstress / Seamster experience required
- Must have knowledge of: straight stitch machine, overlock and blind stitch machines.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
- Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: carry and/or lift weight up to 30 lbs, stand/sit for 7 hours depending on work assignment, bend, kneel or move during course of 7 hours, and push or pull garment rack up to 50 lbs.
